Singapore, 14 January 2011 – For the first time in Asia, and only the third in the world (after Paris and Milan), Men’s Fashion Week (MFW) 2011 will be staged in Singapore from 30 March to 3 April 2011.

The five-day inaugural men’s fashion event will showcase the Autumn / Winter  2011 collections of up to 15 renowned brands from Singapore, the Asian region and internationally

Organised by Fide Multimedia Pte Ltd, MFW 2011 Singapore’s Chairman, Frank Cintamani, said, “Men’s style consciousness has come of age and men’s fashion has come out from the shadows of the female-centric fashion industry and this is an opportune time for a Men’s Fashion Week to be held in this part of the world, with Singapore as the ideal place, given that the cosmopolitan city-state is increasingly recognised as the region’s fashion hub”.

“We envision MFW 2011 Singapore to serve as an opportunity for regional and local men’s wear designers to showcase their collection, alongside the internationally-renowned labels; and it will also cement Singapore’s position as THE go-to country in search of quality, renowned menswear brands for shoppers in Asia. We are also heartened to have received the local support of fashion giants like FJ Benjamin, Kwang Sia, and the Valiram Group,” added Cintamani.

Costing an estimated S$2 million to organise, the curtains of MFW 2011 Singapore will be raised with a gala show on 30 March and conclude with a closing party on 3 April. Other participating brands, to date, include Boss BLACK by Hugo Boss, Canali, Dress Camp, Emmanuel, G.I.L. Homme, Raoul and Shanghai Tang.
